Called By: Any Officer of the Greater or Lesser Chambers.

Requires: Approval of 2/3rds of the Chamber’s Officers.

Circumstances: Violation of a rule or regulation in the Chambers of the Deliberative.

Description: Can be called by any Officer of the Greater or Lesser Chamber, though by convention it is almost always done by the Guardian of the Enlightened Discourse or the Protector of the Debate. This Motion is voted on immediately, and if passed censures a Senator or Deliberator for misbehavior, requiring them to vacate the Chamber for twenty five hours, instructing the Guardians to bar their re-entry until the time has passed.

The exception to this is if a Motion of No-Confidence is being debated or called in immediate aftermath of the Naming, in which case the target of the Naming may remain until it is concluded. This has meant that Officers cannot collude to exclude caucuses opposed to their agenda through wide application of Naming Motions without risking their offices, while legitimate expulsions see the offending Senators willing to accept withdrawal rather than face the backlash from frivolous confidence motions.
