Staff and Resources

Page: Each page receives a one-room sleeping chamber and a desk outside the office of their Senator in the Deliberative Palace. They are not expected to live there, but given the extensive hours and labours demanded of pages it is present so they might rest without leaving the Deliberative.

Senator of the Lesser Chamber: Each senator receives a one-room office in the Deliberative Palace, and may request a three-room sleeping quarters, as well as the services of one secretary and the services of the common pool of servants in the Lesser chamber.

Greater Chamber: Each senator receives a two-room working suite (office and reception room) , and may request five-room quarters, in the Deliberative Palace, and the services of one secretary, as well as the services of the common pool of servants in the Greater chamber. Each may accept a single Page to serve them.

Elected Officer: Each officer receives a large suite in the Deliberative Palace and the services of a full staff, as well as the services of the common pool of servants in the Lesser chamber.

-Officer of the Lesser Chamber = five rooms including office and sleeping quarters, one secretary and one personal page, the services of the common pool of servants in the Lesser chamber.

-Master of the Lesser Chamber = Ten rooms including office and sleeping quarters, two secretaries and one personal page, the services of the common pool of servants in the Lesser chamber.

-Officer of the Greater Chamber = ten rooms including office and sleeping quarters, two secretaries, and the services of the common pool of servants in the Greater chamber. They may have up to two personal Pages.

-Master of the Greater Chamber = thirty rooms including offices, sleeping quarters, and reception hall; five secretaries, the services of the common pool of servants in the Greater chamber. They may have up to three Pages.

Additional expenses (household servants, for example, or outside housing for senators) are provided from the private funds of a particular individual. Arrangements can also be made by those who hold no rank, to take offices in the Deliberative Palace, though this is unusual and thus requires political maneuvering.

Uniform

While attending sessions of the Deliberative, all Senators wear white robes trimmed in scarlet, Greater bearing House mon in gold. No weapons are permitted, nor are overclothes, armour, or modified robes, though headdress and jewelry are allowed.

Elected officers also must bear the panoplies of their stations:

Master of the Deliberative: A scarlet stole, edged in the colours of the five elements, with their House mon worked small in gold at the center of the Realm pentagram.

Incorruptible Secretary: The Bracers of the Intractable Scribe.

Guardian of the Enlightened Discourse: The Mantle of Certainty.

Master of the Lesser Chamber: A scarlet hood edged in gold.

Scrupulous Monitor of the Will of the People: A scarlet hood edged in silver.

Protector of the Debate: A scarlet hood edged in bronze.

This uniform is not mandatory outside of the Deliberative, and in fact for much of the Realm's history it has been uncommon to wear official robes to any external functions other than audiences at Court. With the appointment of the Imperial Regent, and the significant increase in the power of the Deliberative, this trend has entirely reversed, Senators now eager to display their influential positions to all.
