The Victor’s Brocade is an ancient suit of artifact plate armour, plates of steel traced both within and without with the Starmetal filigree that shapes its essence. It is said that the one who bears it seems fated to triumph in battle, hobbling blows failing to connect and rallying calls echoing despite the din of impending defeats.
While nearly all amongst the Realm’s artificers mistakenly consider its plates to be highly refined Jade-Steel, the truth of the matter is that the armour was forged during the Primordial War, its metal originally the bronze and Iron armour of human champions who struggled against the Primordials and their armies… for while some champions were blessed with the powers of Exaltation during this time, many more fought and died without such power, sacrificing themselves to see the Incarnae and the Exalted achieve victory. The armour of these champions, smelted by the terrible power of the Primordials themselves, was joined with starmetal from loyal gods who too had fallen in those great battles, so that together they might bear future wearers on to further triumphs.
The Victor’s Brocade is currently part of the panoply of the Terrestrial Exalt Ledaal Martia, who is rarely seen without it.
