The Euryphaessan Lever is an advanced tool found in Manufactory Cathedrals. Amongst its myriad uses (many forgotten since the time of the Golden Age) is in direct manipulation of motes: the Lever, used properly, is able to freeze motes in motion, stopping them from channeling naturally, a highly useful thing in artifice as it allows an artificer to suspend a device without disabling it so that repairs and adjustments can be made without the risk of motonic flashback. However, the tool requires significant expertise to use properly, as the user must be extremely accurate in its placement and timing: frozen motes may cause blockages, building up energies that could overload catastrophically.

The use of the Lever outside of the realm of artifice has been considered by many Scavenger Lords, as stopping the motes in a working artifact might block its function, while doing so to a living being would presumably result in death, but without the release of motes (and attachments such as Souls and Exaltations) that normally accompanied such a state. However, the Lever requires such precision, and applies its effect to so few motes at once, that it makes an ineffective weapon.

A powerful artifact in its own right, the Euryphaessan Lever can be used outside of its Cathedral, but without purified and controlled conditions the suspension of motes rarely creates a blockage, instead causing subsequent motes to form new channels around the original.
