Coastal Conifers are a type of coniferous tree found in the coastal regions of Creation’s northern Inner Sea (such as Ceben and Cherak) and the northern islands of the West.

Coastal Conifers are tall trees, their trunks bare and straight as they rise up their great height (sometimes as tall as 350ft), branches and needles only occurring in a conical crown at their tops.

The lumber cut from these trees is hard and pale, but of good quality for construction of hulls and docks which must endure the ocean’s waves and storms. Their straight trunks also make them ideal for construction of masts for larger sailing ships.

Their needles are traditionally boiled to make teas for alleviating common ailments afflicting mariners, such as Scurvy.
