The Golden Rule is the universal theory, a single law or formula which covers all things in Creation, explaining the past completely and predicting the future perfectly.

A number of savants through the ages have attempted to discover or codify the Golden Rule, the most well-known proponents being the sorcerers of the Devonian School, though others (particularly amongst the Sidereal Exalted) have proposed different conceptions of the Rule and attempted to seek it or convince Creation they have found it.

Many, both in the Golden Age and present times, believe the Golden Rule does not exist. Some cite the Kinetropic School of sorcery as strongest proponent of this, but Kinetropic sorcerers themselves rarely object to the idea of a Golden Rule so much as they consider its existance irrelevant.
