Appearance: A dark, transparent blue-violet stone. The gemstone changes colors depending upon which angle it is viewed from.
Description: Thin lenses carved from iolite can be used as polarizing filters, Such lenses form part of many instruments for navigation across the ocean or observation through water. A small iolite stone costs R2, a lens is R4.
