Rating: 1-dot (15 crystals)
Blueflame Crystals are minor works of artifice from the First Age. Though the method of their creation is now lost, a few savants know them to be formed of blue Adamantine Glass, forged with powdered Glowstone, in which has been embedded an alchemically-treated Fireseed. Blueflame Crystals give off clear, bright illumination, as well as heat that is hot enough to keep a person from freezing in harsh Northern winters but somehow not so hot the crystal cannot be held in one's bare hand.
Blueflame Crystals were a common decorative item in the First Age, and several ancient structures still contain them, including the ruined city of Sal-Maneth in Halta and the Palace of Azure in Azerban.
