Time: Second week of Ascending Fire.
Location: Cloaka (Eagle Prefecture, Blessed Isle)
Host: Prism patrician clan.
Invitations: Open to any rider with a horse, who registers with the Prism clan before the first race begins (and pays a small fee). The last three races are open only to Dragonblooded riders.
Theme and Activity: A series of nine races, in sets of three (two preliminaries, in which ranking determines finalists for the final race). The first three are for young riders, who have not yet seen their twentieth year, the second set is open to all riders, and the third set is only for the Dragonblooded. The prize for winning a set is the right to select a horse from the Prism clan’s herd of fine Firemanes.
The Prism clan is usually able to claim victories in the first two race sets, its riders already having Firemane horses, while the Dragonblooded set is dominated by House Cathak, which is particularly interested in Cloaka’s fiery breed of horses.
