Created in the First Age, Hearth-cats are small cats known for their curious ability to give off heat. Popular as pets, they can warm a person even on a cold winter night.
They were lost to Creation in the years following the Usurpation, but were rediscovered 250 years ago by the Stargazer Patrician Clan, who were granted an Imperial Monopoly on their breeding.
