This minor ministry's 'officials' are not patrician bureaucrats but low-class working people, charged with keeping the streets and sewers of the Imperial City clean of refuse. They are paid a pittance for their services, though they also gain some status due to bearing the silk square of cloth on their chests which identifies the Realm's bureaucrats.
The Wardens are sometimes a valuable source of information for the bureaucracy, as they are well connected in the City's bottom rungs.
Head: the Ever-Watchful Purveyor of Hygiene (a career-bureaucrat post given to a patrician, but not a popular one).
