Health Levels are a representation of how much punishment a character can take (and has taken) in Exalted. Typically, the greater a character’s Stamina attribute the more damage they can take before meeting their demise. Some other approaches, such as the nigh-ubiquitous Ox-Body Technique Charm, exist to further bolster a character’s durability.
Characters have the following Health Levels:
-0 (Bruised) x1
-1 (Injured) x [Stamina]
-2 (Wounded) x [Stamina]
-4 (Crippled) x1
Incapacitated x1
Dying x [Stamina]
Example 1: Thin Reed, an average peasant from Three Rivers hamlet in the Scarlet Prefecture, has Stamina 2. He has the following Health Levels: -0, -1, -1, -2, -2, -4, Inc, Dy, Dy.
Example 2: Peleps Archova is a Dynast with a singular obsession. She has Stamina 5, Resistance 5, and has taken the Terrestrial Ox-Body Technique Charm 5 times. She has the following Health Levels: -0, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -2, -2, -2, -2, -2, -2, -2, -2, -2, -2, -4, Inc, Dy, Dy, Dy, Dy, Dy.
