The Elemental Poles anchor and define Creation, each at their core the purest form of their element. The pure and powerful nature of elements at the poles is lessened as they take their places in Creation, but for artificers the pure Polar elements are of great value in achieving appropriate effects.
The Polar Elements used in artifice are as follows:
Empassioned Flame from the Pole of Fire
Charged Ice from the Pole of Air
Unchanging Stone from the Center of the Imperial Mountain
Shapeless Water from the depths of the Pole of Water
A Seed of Life from the centre Tree of the Pole of Wood
Obtaining such elements is very difficult, the environment dangerous and transportation back into Creation nigh impossible. Special vessels of Adamant and Orichalcum must be used to store and carry Polar Elements, edged witht he appropriate colour of jade, lest they lose their power or dissipate.
