Time: Annually, on the 2nd day of Ascending Air.
Location: Imperial City.
Host: Deliberative.
Invitations: Public. Attendance by officers of the Deliberative and new senators awaiting investment is mandatory.
Theme and Activity: On the first day of Ascending Air, only one debate is held in the Deliberative: that which determines the officers for each Chamber during the coming year. On the second day of the month, those newly-elected officers assemble at the gates of the Imperial City, at the head of a procession consisting of the Deliberative Guardians’ elite first and second Dragons, surrounding senators of the Greater then Lesser chambers, and senatorial nominees who are to be newly invested for this session. This procession marches through the streets of the Imperial City, before coming to the Deliberative Palace and dismounting to begin the year’s work.
