The Immovable Gatekeepers of the Ancient Paths were a small division of the [[Thousand Scales]], charged with overseeing ruins and archaeological sites on the Blessed Isle (with the exception of the Imperial Mountain, responsibility of the [[Keepers of the Mandate]]). Assisted by local [[Guardians of the Realm]] and Imperial Legion detachments, the Gatekeepers secured such sites, and included scholars and bureaucrats to catalog output and administer access as directed by the Scarlet Empress. 


The wave of Scales cutbacks in RY765 saw the Gatekeepers disbanded. The access-restricting edicts they enforced remain on the books, and fell directly to Legion and Black Helm forces after the Gatekeepers were shut down.
