Hellish Ash was a swordsman of the [[Shogunate Era]], considered one of the [[Five Paragons of the Shogunate]] or [[Five Banished Immortals]], styled Banished [[Saturn]], though no such titles are referenced in texts which pass through the censors of the Realm and the [[Immaculate Order]]. 

Hellish Ash was known as the master of [[Iaijutsu]], the highest dueling art amongst Shogunate Dragonblooded, wielding a long slashing blade or [[Reaper Daiklave]] to carry out a single, sudden, perfect strike. At least one of his manuals on the art has survived into the present era, along with a number of screens and tapestries depicting his forms.
