Created in the First Age, Hearth-cats are small cats known for their curious ability to give off heat. Popular as pets, they can warm a person even on a cold winter night. 


They were lost to Creation in the years following the [[Usurpation]], but were rediscovered 250 years ago by the Stargazer [[Patrician Clans|Patrician Clan]], who were granted an [[Imperial Monopolies|Imperial Monopoly]] on their breeding.
