A Flaming Plum is a cocktail most often seen amongst Dynastic expatriates and the scions of [[Gens Anatae]] in the port of [[Wu Jian]], said to represent that city's place as the midpoint between the [[Blessed Isle]] and the Western Threshold. It consists of a base of [[Plum Brandy]] (representing the Isle), over which has been layered [[Rakia Liqueur]] (representing the West), the resulting drink then set aflame (resulting, some say, the light of a lighthouse and thus a port, though others attribute it to 'a sign of respect for the [[Burning Feather|god of intoxicants]]', 'a fierce spirit of resistance' or 'the doomed fate of those who resist [insert the faction which the commentator holds should dominate the West]. The fiery drink is quickly imbibed. 


In addition to Wu Jian, the Flaming Plum is sometimes seen at the galas of the [[Scarlet Dynasty]] (particularly in the Isle's western prefectures) and the courts of the Western nobility.
