Flame that Held Against the Sea is a reinforced breastplate of pure red jade. It is a blocky suit of simple aesthetic, with carvings many artists and artificers might consider crude, though its jade has been polished smooth by the passage of countless years. It bears its name in small orichalcum letters in Old Realm, just below the wearer’s throat. 


Flame that Held Against the Sea was granted to [[Cathak Okubo]] upon his graduation from the [[Academy for Cultivation of Youthful Talents]]. After the death of Okubo in RY768, it passed into the hands of Cathak Baitai, duelist of the [[2nd Imperial Legion]].
