This artifact comprises a set of tea bowls of pure Black Jade designed for use in the rituals of the Tea Ceremony. A pair of koi fish are etched inside the bowl, only visible after hot tea is poured within. The design is believed to have origins as a commission from a Western daimyo introduced to the court of Meru, but their name and Gens is lost to the Terrestrial Exalted of the the Second Age.

When these bowls are used in a tea ceremony, the owner may spend one mote of Essence per participant to imbue the liquid with vitality. Participants in the ceremony are nourished for the rest of the day, as if they had eaten full meals and drank their fill. 

The artificers of Shogunate produced numerous Black Koi Tea Services, and they continue to be treasured by many scions of the Scarlet Dynasty and Lookshy.
