Seeds of the Dragons is the foundational text for modern Dragonblooded breeding efforts, its lessons guiding the formation and pruning of bloodlines. It is presented in the form of dialogues between Immaculate Dragon of Wood Sextes Jylis and his disciples as he walked the roads of Creation strewing seeds in the wake of the war against the Anathema. His maxims were recorded by his loyal follower Dihuang, and now form part of the Immaculate Texts.

Amongst scholars, there are two points of contention over Seeds of the Dragons. The first is that several maxims are said to be very close to those found in scraps of even earlier texts dated to the time of the Anathema... to study this aspect is a severe heresy in the eyes of the Immaculate Order, receiving the harshest punishments. The second is that Seeds of the Dragons ought be treated as a chapter of the Canon of Sextes Jylis. This too is viewed as heretical, though less severe, for the Canon is not officially amongst the Immaculate Texts.

Selected Maxims:

"If the parents are strong, the children will be strong. This is the nature of Creation."

“If the parents do correspond in Aspect, then the child shall be more sure to follow their Blessings. This is an unassailable truth.”

“Air begets Air. Water begets Water. Earth begets Earth. Wood begets Wood. Fire begets Fire. This is the natural law, and its violation reveals the lack of enlightenment within the offending soul.”

“Dragons ought join with Dragons to birth Dragons. This is the proper way of things.”
