The Infallible Conveyors of Official Messages and Heartfelt Expressions, known colloquially as the Imperial Post, is one of the Scarlet Empire's most enduring bureaucracies. It is the division of the Thousand Scales responsible for matters of Realm Communications, both across the Blessed Isle and stretching beyond to Realm posts and tributaries in the Threshold.

The Imperial Post employs a vast army of bureaucrats and couriers to carry out its operations. Amongst these are included the 'Post Riders', who carry messages by a system of horse relays. The Post also includes a series of Heliograph relay towers, which stretches along major arteries and allows use of light to send messages vital to the government (or from those wealthy enough to afford the exhorbitant fees), and employs numerous technicians and operators. The most elite section of the Post is made up of Dragon-Blooded who use Charms and Sorcery to convey truly important messages to their intended destinations, made up mostly of sorcerers fulfilling their Imperial Obligations with ten year terms of service.

The Imperial Post is responsible not only for sending messages but for accrediting independent couriers, through its Department of Certifications for Runners of the Blessed Word which has offices in the larger cities of the Blessed Isle. The most numerous of these are the message runners who fill the streets of the Imperial City and other urban areas. The Post tests and verifies some of these messengers, allowing them to wear the saffron tabard marked with the pentagram mon of the Realm and attesting to their reliability and trustworthiness. Non-accredited couriers are cheaper, to be sure, but come with a much highly likelyhood of letting mail be reviewed by other eyes... Post offices contain a device known as the Plate of Ten-Thousand Shattered Bones, which is used to break every bone in the hands and feet of an accredited courier who lets his missives be violated, redering them Disenfranchised. The Post also offers training to the military couriers of the Imperial Legions, granting those soldiers the right to wear a saffron badge on their arms and shields. Legion couriers remain independent of the Post, however, their sanctity assured by the internal course of military justice.

Head: Minister of the Post, currently Nellens Junaj.
