Events of the era following the Great Contagion.

RY0 - The Year of Seven Tigers; The Great Contagion ends; The Scarlet Empress casts the Balorian Crusade out of Creation; The year which grants its name to the historical theory of the Year Zero Void.

RY1 - The Imperial Proclamation; The Scarlet Empress (re-)founds the Realm and lays claim to Her name and title as its ruler.

RY3 - The Imperial City is founded on the ruins of Vanchow; The Immaculate Order <<<begins that Nicea thing that needs a proper name, which is probably a reference to crystal and peace>>>.

RY12 - Foundation of the Empress' Own Guard and the All-Seeing Eye.

RY19 - Anisa-Shoshan is executed for consorting with the Yozis. Ryzala becomes Shogun of Celestial Concerns.

RY20 - Lookshy is founded on the ruins of Deheleshen; The Lintha, taking advantage of post-Contagion instability, gain control of critical food supplies in the West.

RY27 - Heaven officially re-opens its gates, deeming the danger of the Great Contagion abated.

RY38 - Foundation of the first ministries that will become the Thousand Scales and the Imperial Magistracy.

RY40 - Realm establishes the Imperial Legions, raising the five Legions of the Imperial Guard.

RY43 - The Immaculate Order <<<finishes that Nicea thing>>>.

RY44 - A lovesick suitor assassinates Araka Jeresh, lover of the Scarlet Empress.

RY45 - Emissaries of the Scarlet Empress approach the leaders of various Scavenger Land city-states, demanding oaths of fealty. Several cities swear their allegiance. Most, including Lookshy, do not. Threats of reprisal convince a number of additional cities to change their position and sign on.

RY47 - First Realm Invasion of the Scavenger Lands begins.

RY48 - The Palace of the Maximum Fallahshu reconstructed in Lookshy, becoming the Lookshy Manse.

RY52 - The Council of Entities takes control of Nexus.

RY53 - The First Realm Invasion of the Scavenger Lands ends with Realm forces pushed back to their allied states on the coast.

RY55 - Teocalla of Tu Yu reconstructed in Lookshy.

RY71 - The Syndics seize control of Whitewall.

RY75 - Second Realm Invasion of the Scavenger Lands, lasting until RY76

RY78 - Beginning of the War of the Gods, when Heaven attempts to re-assert its authority over the Terrestrial Courts through use of force. Gods battle gods, as do their worshippers, while the Scarlet Empress and Immaculate Order take advantage of the disruption within cults to spread their new order.

RY81 - The Scarlet Empress issues the Clarity Decree, defining which languages are permitted for which functions within the Realm, and retitling the major languages of the Blessed Isle.

RY83 - Ships allegedly of the Imperial Navy engage in attacks on merchant vessels near the Scavenger Lands. In response, various Scavenger Land nations issue letters of marque against the Realm and claim they must begin constructing their own warships. The Realm asserts any attacks are unofficial and unsanctioned, and that the Scavenger states are merely using false accusations to legitimize and expand their existing piratical fleets.

RY84 - End of the War of the Gods. The conflict has been largely inconclusive, though there great destruction amongst Creation's divine cults, vast damage to Chiaroscuro, and the annihilation of Tchoto-Killi.

RY88 - Third Realm Invasion of the Scavenger Lands, lasting until RY90.

RY89 - The Empress' Own Guard are destroyed in the Battle of Melevhil, and strategoi Vondy Beulen of the 4th Imperial Legion defects to the Seventh Legion. The defeat of the Third Realm Invasion becomes inevitable, but fighting continues.

RY90 - The final major battle of the Third Invasion creates the Frozen Wood shadowland, and marks the beginning of an uneasy peace.

RY95 - The wartime connections and alliances between various city-states of the former River Province are expanded to form a loose confederation and trade pact, the League of Many Rivers, which includes Lookshy, Nexus, Sijan and more than a dozen other Scavenger Lands cities. To prevent territorial disputes, war-weary governments agree that borders for the area’s states will follow the old administrative districts of the Dragonblooded Shogunate.

RY99 - The founding of The Guild.

RY103 - The Scarlet Empress founds the Deliberative Senate.

RY104 - Several coastal states of the former River Province begin to forswear their fealty to the Scarlet Empire and join the nascent League of Many Rivers. Protests from the Blessed Isle are derisively ignored. In response, the Realm begins to replace a varied system of fealty and treaty with its system of Imperial Satraps to oversee client states.

RY111 - Client Wars, in which Lookshy irons out its approach to imperialism.

RY112 - The Blind Mountain Society unofficially forms in Heaven.

RY114 - Assassination attempt on the Scarlet Empress, followed by the founding of the policy of the Thousand Mazy Paths. The Empress names Rawar of Arjuf Imperial Husband.

RY130 - Birth of Prince Manosque.

RY139 - Birth of Prince Ragara.

RY146 - Bagrash Köl uses the Eye of Autochthon to build a great kingdom in the North, which surpasses the early Realm.

RY158 - The Shining Glass Club begins accepting “customers.”

RY174 - Nine Duchies Rebellion breaks out, and is crushed by the Realm. The Guild's leadership carries out a trade mission to the kingdom of Bagrash Köl, and ends all involvement with that realm immediately thereafter. Elevation of House Manosque.

RY176 - Bagrash Köl destroyed by the Eye of Autochthon.

RY181 - Rain Deathflyer brokers a one-century peace deal with the Raksha.

RY202 - The Thousand Scales reaches its current form, with most ministries remaining stable for over 550 years until the mass cuts which followed the disappearance of the Scarlet Empress in RY765. Elevation of House Ragara. The Architects of the Empty Vault forms in Heaven.

RY211 - Tammuz of the Delzahn Horde conquers Chiaroscuro, offers (limited) fealty to the Realm. The Guild moves its base of operations from the South to Nexus.

RY223 - Satrapic rights and duties are finalized with all states along Inland Sea and many well into the Threshold.

RY227 - Nellens is taken as a lover by the Scarlet Empress.

RY231 - Birth of Prince Sesus. Some records state Prince Ledaal was also born in this year.

RY235 - Birth of Prince Ledaal. Some records list the birth of 'Princess Ledaal'. Elevation of House Sesus. Elevation of House Ledaal.

RY244 - Manosque Viridian uses the Eye of Autochthon in an attempt to stage a coup. He is destroyed by the defenses of the Realm, and House Manosque is put to the sword.

RY261 - Imperial Consort Nellens dies.

RY275 - Kemal Morigaturqi is taken as a lover by the Scarlet Empress.

RY276 - A massive clash between the armies of Halta and Linowa births the shadowland known as the Fields of Woe.

RY277 - Elevation of House Morigaturqi.

RY278 - The gods Spinner of Glorious Tales, Weaver of Dreams of Victory, and Shield of a Different Day overcome the Deathlord Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral and Robes of Black Feathers, forcing the Princess back to the underworld where she is made a servant of the First and Forsaken Lion. Great Forks is founded.

RY281 - Hostilities between the Fair Folk and the people of Halta are limited with the signing of the Treaty of High Order and Wild Roots.

RY295 - Hostilities begin to escalate in the region of the Sandy River.

RY297 - The War of Blood and Water breaks out in the Sandy River region.

RY299 - Trae Leng's Revolt.

RY300 - Lookshy intervenes to force an end to the War of Blood and Water.

RY301 - House Iselsi sponsors the Calibration War, an invasion of the Scavenger Lands. The Realm denies that the war has official sanction.

RY303 - The Calibration War ends in defeat for the invaders. Elements of House Iselsi attempts a coup against the Scarlet Empress in the Night of Broken Daggers, which is crushed out of hand. The House stripped of many possessions and made servants of the Throne, though not destroyed outright. Port Calin is accepted into the League of Many Rivers, denying the Realm the major beachhead from which it could militarily threaten the Scavenger Lands.

RY314 - Salt is taxed at 2% in the Realm.

RY326 - Vengeful Harvest Uprising.

RY335 - First factory of The Guild established in the Realm, at Chanos.

RY360 - Cull of the Intransigent Cacophony, where the Deliberative is purged by order of the Scarlet Empress; Dissolution of House Morigaturqi.

RY362 - Tepet is taken as a lover by the Scarlet Empress. Elevation of House Tepet.

RY369 - Birth of Princess Mnemon.

RY370 - Death of Imperial Husband Rawar.

RY371 - The Guild establishes Lord's Crossing as its hub city on the Blessed Isle. Imperial Consort Tepet vanishes.

RY373 - Nighthammer Revolt against the Council of Entities.

RY385 - Disaster destroys the Versino, the Realm's primary sorcerous academy and research institution. Princess Mnemon is the only student to survive. The school will not be re-founded. Blood on the Horn unites a number of Southeastern tribes to form the nation of Harborhead.

RY392 - The Heptagram is founded as a replacement for the lost Versino academy, with a greater focus on academic study and the role of the Immaculate Order much reduced.

RY393 - Institution of the Tepet Wheel Tax in Lord's Crossing Dominion.

RY395 - Elevation of House Mnemon. The new House is gifted care of the Crystal Palace, and decides to use it as a family home. The Mouth of Peace and the Paragons move their quarters to the Palace Sublime.

RY412 – The Wyld Hunt brings down Arvida of the Crescent Eye, Lunar Exalted protectress of Haslan.

RY413 - The Night of Weeping Scribes. The loss of skilled accountants and bureaucrats disrupts trade relations across Creation, triggering tensions that will culminate in the Trade War.

RY416 - The Trade War breaks out between the Realm and The Guild. The War with the Horn breaks out between the Realm and Harborhead.

RY418 - The end of the Trade War; Institution of the Reparations Tariff on Guild goods entering the Blessed Isle; The Tepet Wheel Tax is terminated by Imperial Decree; Birth of Lintha Ng Hut Dukantha.

RY422 - Elevation of House Nellens; Strategoi Mnemon Pardus slays Blood on the Horn in single combat, ending the War with the Horn and seizing Harborhead as an Imperial satrapy.

RY433 - Fire seen in the skies over the Imperial Mountain. The Mountain Folk send emissaries to the Scarlet Empress and return with remarkable gifts, though their delegation had been reduced in number.

RY435 - The Arczeckhi Hordes invade the Scavenger Lands from the East in the Arczeckhi Invasion of the Scavenger Lands, opposed by the League of Many Rivers and The Guild; Dukantha returns to Creation as an Akuma of Kimberry, bringing with him the old traditions of the Lintha.

RY450 - An attempt to supplant the political system of Halta with a more autocratic monarchy succeeds, though the regime soon falters and is overthrown in turn.

RY455 - The Arczeckhi Invasion of the Scavenger Lands ends, with the last of the barbarian raiders slain or driven back eastward, leaving lands bloodied and economically devastated. The League of Many Rivers, torn by massive debts and recriminations, finds its alliance weakened, even as The Guild grows in influence within its territories.

RY462 - The Blessed Isle is afflicted by a severe and inexplicable drought.

RY463 - Drought continues to worsen on the Blessed Isle.

RY464 - Drought continues to worsen on the Blessed Isle.

RY465 - Drought continues to worsen on the Blessed Isle. Not a single grain of Rice is born for the Air Season harvest. Imperial granary reserves begin to run dry. Unbroken Rushes Rebellion breaks out on the Blessed Isle.

RY466 - Drought persists on the Blessed Isle. Unbroken Rushes Rebellion is suppressed by the forces of the Realm.

RY467 - Drought ends on the Blessed Isle, and fields bear a plentiful harvest. Second Cull of the Intransigent Cacophony sees the Deliberative purged by order of the Scarlet Empress. Dissolution of House Kurosa.

RY500 - The Guild establishes a factory at Icehome, and spreads its influence amongst the Haslan, quickly coming to dominate the people and their region.

RY525 - The Vindicators of the Game forms in Heaven.

RY546 - Blood River invades An Teng, triggering a counterattack by forces of the Realm in the war known as the Siege of High Spiral, which lasts until a Realm victory in RY549.

RY547 - Elevation of Cadet House Trung. The Fair Folk surge across the East, overcoming the weakened Arczeckhi Hordes, with their assault reaching the Hundred Kingdoms in the Second Fair Folk Invasion of the Scavenger Lands.

RY548 - Lookshy accuses The Guild and Nexus of precipitating the ongoing invasion due to trade with the Fair Folk. The Guild counters that Lookshyan obsession with concentrating military force on the coast against the Realm left the eastern territories undefended and vulnerable. The League of Many Rivers disintegrates.

RY550 - Realm renegotiates treaties with Chiaroscuro and other major cities to relax tariffs.

RY554 - The last Raksha are pushed out of the River Province, ending the Second Fair Folk Invasion of the Scavenger Lands.

RY557 - In the wake of the Fair Folk invasion, representatives from the Scavenger Lands’ major powers come together to reforge the League of Many Rivers as a stronger defensive alliance, the Confederation of Rivers.

RY570 - House Iselsi is officially dismantled, its membership put to the sword. The Immaculate Order offers sanctuary to a number of Iselsi Dynasts. The Mouth of Peace, a former member of that House, is murdered under mysterious circumstances.

RY578 - Campaign against the Mountain, lasting until RY585 when Tepet Arada slays the Anathema Jochim.

RY580 - Gerd Marrow-Eater leads a confederation of Haslan tribes against The Guild in the Liberation of Wind.

RY581 - War of Crushed Diamonds breaks out with the invasion of An Teng by warlords from the Land of Crushing Fragrance. Understrength Realm forces in their satrapy prove insufficient, but Tengese armies are mustered and drive back the invasion before the arrival of further Imperial Legions, an accomplishment which remains a point of national pride in An Teng.

RY583 - The Guild factory at Icehome is destroyed, ending the Liberation of Wind. Gerd Marrow-Eater unites the Haslan into the Haslanti League. The Guild responds by cajoling the surrounding states to impose a trade embargo on the League.

RY586 - Haslanti accounts state the Siege of Gethamane occurred in this year, forcing The Guild to begin ending its trade embargo. Many scholars discount this claim as false, instead holding the 'siege' to have been a campaign of Iceboat-based commerce raiding which lasted nearly a decade.

RY591 - Ragara's Widows Uprising.

RY593 - The Guild and the Haslanti League settle their differences, with the Guild maintaining trade routes and many rights within the League while renouncing efforts to rule over it, while the Guild ended its embargo against the League.

RY615 - Gunzota Incident

RY618 - Relief of Fort Vermillion; End of the Reparations Tariff on goods from The Guild entering the Blessed Isle. The Scarlet Empress transfers control of Greyfalls from House Cathak to House Nellens, and control of the Scarlet Piers in Goodharbour from House Ledaal to House Cynis.

RY674 - The Wyldfog blows through the Haslanti League, seemingly without end.

RY688 - Birth of Princess V'neef.

RY707 - Bloodied Scythe Uprising.

RY708 - Princess V'neef gives birth to quintuplets. Elevation of House V'neef.

RY724 - The Wyldfog rolling over the Haslanti League finally abate.

RY748 - The Crisis of Heirs in Thorns results in the youngest son of the dead Autocrat taking the throne, with significant Realm backing. Thorns begins a massive militarization program, supported by numerous 'advisors' and Magitech equipment from the Realm.

RY752 - The War of Broken Thorns breaks out when Thorns invades the Scavenger Lands, opposed by the Confederation of Rivers.

RY753 -

RY754 - The Battle of Mishaka results in the devastation of Thorns' military and the end of the War of Broken Thorns.

RY761 - The Bull of the North establishes an alliance with Halta and begins assaults against the Linowan and their allies in the Northeast Threshold.

RY762 - The Linowan petition the Realm for aid against the Bull, and this request is granted by the Scarlet Empress, beginning the War with the Bull. The Realm initially fares well, pushing the Anathema’s forces back to Halta.

RY763 – The War with the Bull begins to turn against the Realm. Wholesale destruction of the Rokan-jin and Talinin tribes. Obliteration of Fallen Lapis. Battle of the Redwoods; The Scarlet Empress vanishes during Calibration.

RY764 - The Battle of Futile Blood ends the War with the Bull in a defeat for the Realm; The armies of the Deathlord Mask of Winters attack and occupy Thorns; A succession crisis in Azerban escalates into the Campaign against the Anathema-Voivode; In the Forsaken Heresy, Peleps Lyta receives Solar Exaltation and slaughters many monks at the Cloister of Wisdom; At year's end, the Council of the Empty Throne nominates Tepet Fokuf as Imperial Regent.

RY765 - Tepet Fokuf is confirmed as Imperial Regent by the Deliberative;

RY768 - The Present Year.
