The Writ of Noblest Garrison RY768 was a motion passed in the Deliberative Senate of the Realm in the month of Ascending Earth, RY768. It heaped great honours upon the [[4th Imperial Legion]] for its victory in the [[Campaign against the Anathema-Voivode]], and called upon the Regent to replace the [[1st Imperial Legion]] with the 4th as garrison of the Imperial City.

The debate was a difficult one, seeing some brawling between senators and extensive shouting matches. Observers credit behind-the-scenes politicking by Peleps Staemos and ‘the Serpent’ Sesus Nagat with gaining the favour of various caucuses, as well as a desire by the Deliberative to associate itself with the positive news brought to the streets by the 4th Legion’s victory, rare in recent years which had seen the fall of Thorns, the [[War with the Bull]], the rise of the Blue Prophet, and other military and political defeats.
