The Thrown ability is the ability which covers throwing objects, including fighting with ranged weapons based on that principle such as [[Chakram]]s or [[Javelin]]s, or supplementing it such as [[Sling]]s. It also covers use of [[Weapons#Bombardment Artillery Weapons|certain Siege Weapons]] such as [[Onager]]s and [[Trebuchet]]s.

Though proponents of [[Melee (Ability)]] will often claim it is the most widespread form of combat in [[Creation]], some counter that Thrown's presence is even wider. After all, any stick or stone can be a weapon to one who has practiced the techniques of Thrown.

Most non-Thrown ranged weapons (such as bows, [[Firewand]]s, and [[Ballista]]e, are covered by the [[Archery (Ability)]].
