==Overview==

The Prince's Table is a massive carved table of polished [[Teak]] and [[Mahogany]], depicting a map of the [[Blessed Isle]]. It is divided into sections, one for each prefecture and dominion (though those who have seen it note that it is no longer accurate, failing to reflect changes in administrative borders occurring after [[RY306]]), with coasts and waterways marked in [[Silver]], roads and settlements in [[Gold]], major cities and [[:Category:Manses|manses]] marked with [[Pearl]]s and [[:Category:Gemstones|gemstones]]. The Imperial Mountain has a core of [[White Jade]] exposed at its peak.

Crafted for prince [[Sesus]], the Table is not an artifact but merely an extravagant work of art. It traditionally occupies a massive chamber in the [[Fortress with Eyes Cast to the Sea]]. It is said that Prince Sesus used the Table to plot and plan the positions of his House on the Isle, but the sheer scale of it makes this decidedly impractical compared to maps or [[Essence]]-powered works of artifice, and many felt it more amusement than strategic tool. Indeed it has long served as a conversation-piece at Magel galas in [[Eagle's Launch]], with some Dynasts making a point to gift carved markers of themselves or their interests to be placed upon the table... the nature of the carvings and the interests depicted can serve as readily as insult as it can compliment.

==The Eagle Table==

The section depicting [[Eagle Prefecture]] sees more use than the rest, most often loaned out for use of the [[Thousand scales]] administrators of the city and prefecture until recalled to serve at galas. This is held as a great honour by the Orchid [[Patrician Clans|Patrician Clan]].

==The Scarlet Table==

When the [[4th Imperial Legion]] was named [[Imperial Garrison]], [[House Sesus]] granted their commander use of the Table section depicting the [[Scarlet Prefecture]], which was transported to the [[Imperial City]] and put in place for use of Strategoi [[Sesus Dochao]] at his headquarters in the [[Brazen Stronghold]], occupying prominent position in the Chamber of Masterful Command. The strategoi makes ready use of the section in planning and monitoring depoyments among the Legions near the Capital.
