Strix have been altered from canon to increase their size and wingspan, which is ludicrously small at 15 feet given the claim they can lift full-grown men. Exalted is not about realism, but there needs to be at least some verisimilitude, and a comparison of strix size with that of other megafauna or even other large birds in Exalted canon itself shows their puny size to be an issue in need of resolution.

To fill in the gap, the numbers and idea behind Strix have been split into a true Strix and a smaller forest-dwelling Great Owl… this also explains a disconnect between the colour of the image (white) and description (dark brown) in the Exalted core, which exists because Exalted’s editors are competent-at-their-jobs-seriously-guys-Ive-never-seen-folks-who-work-so-hard-why-if-every-single-book-had-glaring-errors-that-even-a-child-could-catch-during-editing-then-someone-could-say-they-were-incompetent-or-worthless-but-that’s-not-the-case-guys-right?-right??-guys???
