Other than clarifying a poorly written section of the rules, the changes here are meant to eliminate the 'exclusive mini-game' problem with Grapple... that is, Grappling allows for Martial Arts and only Martial Arts, so characters who are specialized in other forms of fighting are trapped if grappled in a circle where the only escape must be achieved through Martial Arts. This amendment preserves all of the advantages of grappling Martial Artists, but ensures that non-MA characters are not rendered unable of any escape when someone's arms descend to bear-hug them.

The alternative to this amendment is to have every Water manse in Creation produce Freedom Stones... this seems a better fix, really.
