Striking Magnificent Potentate was god of steeped [[Guano]], now commonly known as [[:Category:Teas|teas]], during the [[Prehistoric Era]]. His form was that of a tall, strikingly handsome warrior with hair of leaf and twining root, clad in a mesh-like armour of gold which shone in greenish hue, said to have been forged from the hand of [[Ligier]] himself. In addition to his responsibility for steeped bat droppings, immensely popular beverages amongst the favoured races of the [[Primordial]]s such as the [[Alaun]] and [[Lintha]], he held a prominent position as an overseer of steeped beverages within the [[Culinary Conclave]].

When the [[Primordial War]] broke out, Potentate was amongst the gods who stood against the rebellion of the [[Incarna]]e, and that opposition saw him suffer during the purge of Primordial loyalists once the war was concluded. Though he had not taken up arms, and though his arguments had been based on legitimate points of law, he was denounced as a bloodthirsty traitor by several other members of the Conclave, including the rising [[Lumen of the Fattened Duck]] and his former subordinate [[Tealescent Absalom]], the god of the [[Tea]] bush, both known for their loyalty to [[Sol Invictus]]. The sentence passed upon Potentate was harsh: the god was rendered into Starmetal, forged into the artifact known as the [[Bowl of Righteous Ascents]] as Absolem was elevated in his place.
