New page

Redspar Island is an island located in the Western Oceans, southeast of Azure Coast, southwest of Three Peak Island, west of Wavecrest, and north of Dolphin Harbour.
Redspar is home to a good harbor but little else of value. Its inhabitants subsist on growing Yams and fishing, and those ocean vessels which find reason to call often trade tools and news for tubers & salt fish.
Aside from such traders, Redspar has remained quiet and unremarkable for centuries. However, in the past several years, eyes turned to the island when the larger neighboring island of Dolphin Harbour occupied and annexed Redspar, exploiting the island’s resources and population to support its growing ambitions. In the face of this exploitation, the population of Redspar sought dark salvation in the cult of a terrible Anathema, whom some in the Realm took to calling the Shark of the West.

The Anathema on Redspar ousted the soldiers of Dolphin Harbour, and raised profane temples to thieve the power of Sol Invictus for itself, gathering forces and conquering Three Peak Island then making inroads against Dolphin Harbour. To stop this grave danger, a Wyld Hunt was called out of Wavecrest, supported by marines of the Imperial Navy. According to Navy records, though the battle was hard this force overcame the Anathema and its troops, liberating the island though the evil creature was seen trying to flee Exalted justice, and its death could not be confirmed.
In the aftermath, the Anathema’s evil temples were cleansed and transformed to serve the Immaculate Order. Of the fifteen-hundred-odd souls who once dwelt on Redspar, far too many had been killed when the Anathema’s magics addled their minds, but according to Immaculate doctrine those who survived required the gentle care of the Order to bring them back towards enlightenment. For purposes of stability, Dolphin Harbour has been granted suzerainty over the island and ownership of the population, so their labours might serve their benefactors as the monks tend their spiritual needs.
