Ragara Magnar was an Earth-aspected Dynast, son of [[Ragara Banoba]], father to [[Ragara Storona]], grandfather to [[Ragara Balassa]], and great-grandfather to [[Ragara Thannak-Tyros]] and [[Ragara Rahiro]].

Beginning as a craftsperson and artificer, Magnar rose in the esteem of his fath3er and grandfather when he established a factory in [[Chanos]] for the production of wagon wheels, the increases in efficiency from the assembly line allowing him to undercut and destroy the local artisans who until then had dominated production of both carts and their wheels. Critics at the time and afterwards bemoaned that aggressive tactics eliminated the understanding of wheel and axle production among town and village carpenters, but Magnar was highly successful. His position as dominant player in constructing wagons for trade caravans meant he built close connections with [[The Guild]] as that organisation moved over the shores of the [[Blessed Isle]], but these connections proved costly as relations between Guild and [[Scarlet Empress]] worstened. The [[Tepet Wheel Tax]] of [[RY393]], while directly imposed on merchant traders, was also a clear attack by the Tepets on Magnar himself, and while he expended significant resources in support of the Realm during the ensuing [[Trade War]] his vitriol towards [[House Tepet]] was both open and active until the end of his life.

Though the mechanisms were far different, Magnar emerged as a strong proponent of the [[Correction Wheel]] in the wake of the [[Unbroken Rushes Rebellion]], reorganizing several of his factories for production of the devices. The majority of wheels on the [[Blessed Isle]], both wagon and Correction, continue to come from the factories he once controlled.

Ragara Magnar perished in an unfortunate incident where his 'poor choices in diet and in spiritual purity' resulted in him passing in the bed of a chambermaid. His daughter and heir [[Ragara Storona]], the only Dynast present at the White Coast beach retreat where it occured, expressed sorrow at her father's poor choices and commitment to raising his accomplishments to yet greater heights.
