He is a grandson to [[Ragara Calel]] and great-grandson of prince [[Ragara]], married to fellow Senator [[Ragara Leril]] and father to numerous offspring over the centuries, including [[Ragara Dendas]] and [[Ragara Fernguli]].

Bomgata has long been involved in matters of banking and loans, perhaps the largest individual player in loans within the [[Scarlet Prefecture]]. Given the concentration of [[Scarlet Dynasty|Dynasts]] and powerful [[Patrician Clans|patricians]] around the Capital, this makes Bomgata a Dynast of particular influence. Some muse his Senate appointment was not driven by personal desire but by that of debtors hoping legislative debate would serve as a distraction.
