Melanated Cream is a dish prepared using dairy cream and ice, mixed with sugar and flavourings such as fruits, herbs, and spices, churned and cooled to create a creamy, solid dessert. Across much of Creation, the lack of readily-available ice makes it rare or almost unheard of, but for the wealthy ice cut in the North can be shipped (preserved by methods mundane (such as wrapping in straw) or magical (such as [[Winterbreath Jar]]s). It is considered particularly suited for eating in hot weather.
