Marin Bay is a huge bay on the Eastern coast of the [[Inner Sea]], traditionally marking the northwestern edge of the [[River Province]] where it meets the [[:Category:Coastal North|lands of the Coastal North]]. The bay is split, with its southern half under control of the [[Calin]] Shogunate, and its northern half controlled by satrapies of the Realm such as [[Miwoc]], the border between the two under watchful eye of [[Lookshy]]’s [[Marin Bay Redoubt]].

The thin beaches of its shores are rocky, pebbled and strewn with boulders, amongst which is occasionally found those of [[Marble]], eagerly gathered for local construction or polished into marbles for [[Fireseed (game)|Fireseed]]. They do not offer high cliffs to prevent landings, but rocks below the surface can endanger vessels which plan to approach the coast outside of the known shipping channels. The beaches are pierced by a number of natural harbours which have invariably become home to settlements of fishermen, shipbuilders, or traders. Navigation through the Bay is aided by the light of the [[Marin Lighthouse]], located at the far end of the bay.
