Little Thistle is a mortal slave, whose origin lies somewhere in the near Northeastern Threshold, most likely [[Azerban]] but perhaps [[Madura]], [[Ceben]], or [[Valis]]. She was taken as a slave by the conquering [[4th Imperial Legion]] during the [[Campaign against the Anathema-Voivode]], trained in the pens of slavemaster [[Cynis Akabar]], and savagely abused during the [[Salon of Flesh and Flowers]] in [[RY768]].

Lord Akabar had thought she would make good feed for the [[Simhata]] [[Gahar'ai]], but the compassion of winglord [[Sesus Septimus]] moved him to intervene, taking the girl to his home at [[Sentinel's Hearth]] where her wounds were treated, though elinguation means she is unable to speak and the effects of such trauma are unlikely to fade quickly.
