Huehueotle is the god of [[Mochimu]], a nation on the coast of the [[:Category:The Southwest|Southwestern Threshold]], far southwest of [[An Teng]]. Huehueotl has the appearance of an elderly man with 4 arms, each caked with potter's clay.

Huehueotl does not rule over his people directly, but he remains deeply involved in his cult and their culture, often called upon with ritual human sacrifice to advise the lords of Mochimu cities or judge contests of painted ceramics. In the [[First Age]], when his land was carefully organized to export large quantities of fine dishware and porcelain, he was far more focused and efficient, but in these times his mind seems often to wander.

Huehueotl has a love of games, though they are not within his purview, and his people are known to trade fine pottery for game boards and card decks they might sacrifice to him for his blessings. Unfortunately, Huehueotl is simply terrible at his diversions... his [[Fireseed (game)
|marbles fail to knock others out of the circle]], his [[Two Tigers|tigers are always surrounded]], and he is outmaneuvered within the first round of [[Gateway]]. Priests and children alike inwardly groan when he halts a sacrificial ceremony to lay out a board of [[Dragon-draughts]], and Dynasts venturing the Threshold have found themselves forced to endure innumerable games where the god proves an unchallenging opponent... or a terrible teammate.
