This purple-white amethyst, octagonal in shape, causes those who bear it to feel their souls and wills solidified, reinforced. For a bearer who has a Willpower of 6+ or a Conviction of 3+, the stone grants one additional die to Conviction rolls, including those to regain Willpower, along with an Intimacy towards protecting the manse which produces the stone. The stone itself reacts to such a bearer by losing its color, becoming a clear gemstone while attuned.

For a bearer with less than those requirements, the stone grants no such bonus, though it allows the bearer to regain essence as normal. Instead, the bearer gains an Intimacy to protect the manse which produces the stone, which is treated as a second Motivation. For any purposes dealing with this second Motivation, treat the bearer’s Conviction as 2 higher than its actual value. The stone reacts to such a bearer by darkening in colour to a deep purple, losing its clarity.

In both cases, the Intimacy to protect the manse considers retaining the stone in the bearer’s possession to be vital to the manse’s protection.
