Ledaal Black Dawn is a Senator of [[House Ledaal]]’s Deliberative caucus. In her youth, she spent time in the Threshold both in service with the Imperial Legions and as a mercenary-adventurer, wielding the ancient blade [[Front of Pure Cold]].

While many feel that the institutions and society of the Scarlet Empire are home to subtle sexism, the belief in superiority of women over men, Senator Black Dawn is open in her belief that this is the natural order of Creation and ought be overtly supported by the laws of the Realm, calling for legislation such as bans on men heading ministries or strategoi posts and lobbying the [[Immaculate Order]] to increase the veneration of gods of women in the [[Prayer Calendar]].

Black Dawn’s appointment to the Senate by the [[Scarlet Empress]] was thought by some to indicate support for this cause, and by others to be a punishment for the Senate itself during a period of legislative activism.

In addition to her misandrist agenda, Senator Black Dawn has voiced concerns over the redeployment of the Imperial Legions from the Threshold to the Blessed Isle, and is a firm supporter of her House’ efforts to legislate a Realm response to the rise of the ’[[Deathlord]]’ [[Mask of Winters]] in [[Thorns]].
