Eternal Recollection is the god of Betrayal & Vengeance, currently serving amongst the adjutants of [[Tachi-Kun]] the god of Central War in the [[Bureau of Heaven]]’s [[Righteous & Indefatigable Division of War]]. The demeanour of the vengeance god is surprising to many, for he is calm and friendly, slow to show anger and ready to let bygones be bygones as he flits about the social scene of [[Yu Shan]].

And yet, Eternal Recollection does not forgive, and does not forget. In scrolls and crystals secreted about his person, he records every insult, every slight, every joke made at his expense, and lays plans to inflict immesurable suffering upon every name there listed, enacting his vengeful schemes in the shadows while smiling to the faces of those whose destruction he carries out.

In the [[First Age]], Eternal Recollection’s predecessor and former superior was [[Bright Sanguine Saber]], whose approach to vengeance was far more direct, part of the reason the bureaucracy of Betrayal came under the aegis of [[Tachi-Kun]]: betrayals by the Exalted were met with vengeance, in the form of epic duel and essence-fueled war, which when concluded would resolve the issue. However, Saber was replaced during the [[Golden Age]], when she entered the service of an [[Eclipse Caste]] [[Solar Exalt]] and gave up her Heavenly post… several of her lieutenants maneuvered to replace her, including [[Ogime]] the Frog Queen, but Eternal Recollection had long been laying groundwork for their downfalls, and emerged triumphant.
