Dawning Star of Glory is god of Peaceful Mornings, serving on the staff of [[Thelmarin]] the god of Eastern Peace and Twilight in the [[Bureau of Heaven]]’s [[Department of Abstract Matters]]. A longtime subordinate of Thelmarin, he currently serves as Major Domo to the god of Eastern Peace, overseeing his superior’s household and social calendar, as well as undertaking a great deal of administration, though unlike [[Ahlat|some major deities]] Thelmarin continues to directly conduct the daily work of her office rather than passing off most responsibilities.

This may not be entirely by choice. Dawning Star is affable socially and capable of arranging well-regarded gatherings to satisfy both the desires of guests and his superior’s agenda, and his influence over the household endows the staff with hopeful calm. But, as divinities go, Dawning Star is somewhat lacking in ambition, quite content with his current post, and occasionally prone to getting lost in reverie… sometimes forgetting all about the work piling at his desk while he stands in silence for hours looking up at the shifting colours in the vault of Heaven.

Thelmarin puts up with this in her secretary because for all those faults Dawning Star of Glory is intensely loyal… he does not WANT her position, and very much desires for her to keep it or rise higher so he can continue to serve her.

Recently, though, Dawning Star has become concerned over his superior’s interest in the [[Bull of the North]]… the mad Solar Exalt promises war to the East, whether now or later, and Dawning Star worries over the fact Thelmarin cannot see it. He knows the views of the [[Bronze Faction]] Sidereals on [[Yurgen Kaneko]], and wonders if perhaps there is some way he might aid them in ending this threat once and for all.
