The Division of Serenity is the bureaucracy of Venus, based in the [[Cerulean Lute of Harmony]], a vast palace of pleasure and bureaucracy sometimes called “the [[Pleasure-House of Yu-Shan]]”, or (by its detractors) “[[Heaven’s Whorehouse]].” The Division is directed by the Bearer of the Lapis Ewer, and is concerned with destinies of happiness, pleasure, and well-being… though some hold that the gods within oft concern themselves far more with happiness in the short term than the long.

The Mistress of Serenity is [[Venus]], and the current Bearer of the Lapis Ewer is [[Yaogin]] the Fair, god of Beautiful Dreams, supported (to a tenuous definition) by his Left Hand [[Uvanavu]], God of Health, and his Right Hand [[Livillia]], god of Prostitutes. With Yaogin seemingly distracted from his duties to oversee the Cerulean Lute, Uvanavu is currently enmeshed in conflict with Livillia for control of the division… a conflict several gods of the Division, including [[Golden Reverie]], god of Euphoria, have been encouraging for their own benefit.

The [[Yuanzhang]] of [[The Ewer]], [[The Lovers]], [[The Musician]], [[The Peacock]], and [[The Pillar]] serve under the Division’s aegis, as do the [[Sidereal Exalted]] [[Chosen of Serenity]].
