The Battle of Two Storms was a skirmish between forces of the [[Scarlet Empire]] and barbarian tribes raiding towards the [[:Category:Coastal North|Coastal North]] in [[RY753]]. Raiding had been increasing in the region for several years (due, some voices claimed, to unwillingness of the Realm and local Threshold nobles to invest in curtailing attacks on common folk whose lives had little value), but when rumours reached the command of the [[4th Imperial Legion]] that the barbarians counted monsters and Anathema amongst their number, a decision was taken to scatter them before they could gain further strength and threaten the Realm's more valuable satrapies closer to the coast.

Talonlord [[Cynis Avaku|Cynis Denovah Avaku]] was tasked with the mission, leading the 4th Legion's 10th Dragon 2nd Wing 1st Talon, a [[Imperial Medium Foot|medium foot]] formation, with attached local skirmishers and the [[Imperial Heavy Foot|heavy foot]] of the 4th Dragon 1st Wing 1st Talon 3rd and 4th Scales. This force faced more than their number of barbarian raiders, joined by the Lunar Anathema [[Sleeves of War]] and an entourage of [[Buck Ogre]]s. The two armies met in the [[Valley of Two Storms]], and much blood was spilt.

The forces of the Realm emerged victorious, with most of the ogres and barbarians left dead upon the field. Imperial reccords offer particular commendation to talonlord Avaku, who personally took command of the 3rd Scale's heavy foot in a [[Dragon Scale Formation]] to break the buck ogre charge and close on the Anathema, who was put to flight.
