Ash Rose Island is one of the numberous small islands which dot the [[Inner Sea]], approximately one hundred miles west of [[Thorns]]. It is home to a small port, whose ancient facilities were patched back to usefulness in the late [[Shogunate Era]].

Home to little more than a pair of vacation estates belonging to [[House Mnemon]] and [[House Tepet]] for centuries, the fall of Thorns to the [[Mask of Winters]] has pushed the island to sudden strategic significance, due to its potential as a staging point for fleets making the crossing between Threshold and [[Blessed Isle]].

[[House Ragara]] was granted the Tepet lands in the wake of the [[War with the Bull]], and negotiations are ongoing between that House and potential buyers: [[House Ledaal]] (which seeks to advance its studies of the [[Deathlord]]s) and [[House Peleps]] (which seeks a base for expanded patrols by the [[Imperial Navy]]) remain locked in a bidding war for the estate, and despite both sides making inquiries [[House Mnemon]] has indicated it has no intention of giving up its own holdings.
