The 29th Imperial Legion had long served as a garrison force in the interior of the Southeastern Blessed Isle, its patrols ensuring banditry was suppressed and peasant rebellions put down. It faced much difficulty during the Bloodied Scythe Uprising of RY707, when it was surrounded and cut off by rebel forces, but the Legion held its position and kept the rebels in place fighting long enough for further Legions to arrive and smash the rebel army asunder, after which the Uprising collapsed and was quickly put down.

When House Peleps assumed sponsorship of the 29th in RY764, they disbanded the Legion. Its assets were transferred to the Imperial Navy.
